Going International

7/21/2009

Hey folks, it has been really wonderful to watch PackageTrack pick up steam. So far everything has gone smoothly and we've been working hard to imporve the service. We won't keep you waiting, so here is a list of new features:

Suggestions? Problems? Feel free to contact us.

Hello Mapping

Update: 6/12/2009

Mapping is now a first class affair and will include the complete package history.

5/19/2009

Good news, we've just pushed out a bit of Google Maps integration to provide route mapping for packages. Now you'll see a friendly little map link as part of your package's status messages. Currently, the map only displays the packages history for as long as it has been in the system.

Have fun! (but not too much fun, these are only maps after all)

Day 3

4/29/2009

Amazingly, the launch went off with only one hitch (some of you may have noticed that the help direct message doesn't exactly link you to a help page). We've been hard at work for this next release, the design has been updated and a lot has changed under the hood. While it didn't quite make today's cut, package mapping with Google Maps integration is only a day or two away, so start looking for those links to show up as part of status updates.

Honestly though, the most amazing thing is the number of people using PackageTrack and the number who have taken time to provide excellent feedback. I plan on writing another post about this, but without people using your application, it doesn't matter how cool or innovative it is. To have people using something we built is really wonderful, we're floored, thank you all very much.

So here it is, the latest and greatest PackageTrack at your service, check out the release notes if you're interested.

Beta Launch!

4/27/2009

It is really exciting to be here. Foremost, none of this would be possible without the help of folks (@attack7, @caseyalt, @kevinmiller, @kwitte, @rchille, and @tjstankus) who willingly risked the sanity of their Twitter accounts to help test. An extra big thanks to @memorly and @10ch for such excellent feedback and encouragement. A big thanks also to @deisinger, who always had a sound suggestion, a willingness to help, and was generally invaluable.

So, well, here goes. Follow the directions and have fun.

Let me know if you have any problems,
